Wiley Purkey – "Inside the Studio" - An Exhibit of Paintings staged in an Artist's Studio environment
Wiley Purkey is familiar to us from his life's work of painting scenes of the Ellicott City Historic District. Much of the content of this show is chosen from that body of work. Also included are some of his less familiar, and very personal works, images of his own gardens. Like artists before him, he has planted and tended gardens for years, sometimes recording glimpses of them in oils or watercolor.
This show will include over 100 original paintings, and prints, displayed "Salon Style", and the gallery will be set up as a working studio.
Wiley will be in the gallery, painting at his easel, or working on some creative project each Saturday during the entire show.
A portion of sales will go toward Friends of Patapsco Female Institute.
