Car Climbs Barrier On Main Street Bridge

A car came to rest on the Main Street bridge Thursday afternoon.

A car got stuck on the jersey barrier on the Ellicott City Main Street bridge around 4:20 p.m. on Thursday.

Police said no one was seriously injured. The driver, a teenage boy wearing a Catonsville jersey, said his car crossed the yellow line, then swerved into the barrier.

Traffic was being directed around the scene before a tow truck came to pull the car off around 5:40 p.m. Afterwards both lanes of the bridge were reopened.

Traffic was backed up heavily on both sides of the Main Street bridge while the car was stuck.
