Memories, Debris at Hudson Branch Stream Cleanup Event
An Ellicott City community came together to remove debris from backyards and the Hudson Branch River.
After seven months, many relocations, some renovations and a lot of neighborly support, residents on Frederick Road got together to clean up the debris that still cluttered their backyards -- which happen to be the bank of Hudson Branch River -- after September's devastating floods. Residents removed more than 1,000 pounds of debris from the Hudson Branch of the Patapsco River at a cleanup event sponsored by the Friends of the PatapscoValley and Heritage Greenway and Viridian Energy, a Connecticut-based, third-party energy supplier that gives residents the option to purchase electricity from renewable sources.
