The office of Tourism and Promotion will roll out its redesigned website on Valentine's Day.
Howard County's office of tourism is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and on Valentine's Day, the agency will unveil a new attraction—its updated website. Howard County Tourism and Promotion (HCTP) will launch a redesigned website on Tuesday featuring aesthetic and experiential improvements, according to Rachelina Bonacci, HCTP's executive director. The new look is being rolled out on Valentine's Day so that people will remember the date and because "we put a lot of love into that website," said Bonacci. Ellicott CIty's Qdoba restaurant will give you a free entree tomorrow if you smooch someone in line.
Customers at the Qdoba restaurant in Ellicott City can get free food on Tuesday, if they don't mind a little PDA. The nationwide chain is bringing back a Valentine's Day promotion that, according to spokeswoman Ashley Cohen, tens of thousands of customers took advantage of in 2011. Anyone who buys an entree can get another for free—once they kiss a fellow customer at the cash register. It doesn't matter (to Qdoba) who it is. No coupon is necessary. The promotion is happening nationwide (though in Wisconsin, inexplicably, the second entree is 50 percent off, not free). The Qdoba in the Ellicott City is open normal hours, from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., on Valentine's Day.
