Dayvon Maurice Green—the 23-year-old University of Maryland student who reportedly shot two roommates over the winter in College Park before killing himself—had been drinking before the incident, according to autopsy results published in The Baltimore Sun. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner found that Green had a blood alcohol level of 0.14 percent, the paper reports. In the early morning hours of Feb. 12, investigators say that Green, an engineering graduate student, set several fires around his house on 36th Ave. in the Crystal Springs neighborhood. The 22-year-old Centennial High School graduate who was shot and killed last week in College Park was an extrovert who “wasn’t afraid to raise his hand,” the University of Maryland student newspaper, the Diamondback, reported. Stephen Alex Rane was a senior at the University of Maryland, where he studied English and linguistics. Police say he was shot and killed by his roommate, 23-year-old Dayvone Maurice Green, last week. According to his obituary, Rane was born in Lafayette, Ind. in 1990. Stephen Alex Rane, 22, died suddenly on February 12, 2013, in College Park, Md. Born June 18, 1990, in Lafayette, Ind., he attended West Lafayette Junior/Senior High School and was a 2009 graduate of Centennial High School. Stephen was a senior at the University of Maryland, majoring in English and Linguistics, at the time of his death.
