Howard County Executive Ken Ulman is scheduled to deliver his State of the County address to the local business community at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City on Thursday. This will be Ulman's 7th time delivering the address that looks ahead at the priorities in the county. This year's address will focus on Howard County's emergence from the economic downturn in a position for growth and how the county has become a "model for Maryland," according to David Nitkin, director of communications for Howard County. If Ulman thinks that the intercounty broadband network is a model for innovation, he must be smoking something. I seriously doubt even one citizen has noticed a single diffence from that federal program that cost more than $100 million tax dollars. But, nice try?   more ›
