Sneaker Robbery at Gunpoint: Howard County Crime Roundup

Ellicott City Burglary Police say a teenager returned home to the 8600 block of Stonehouse Drive on the afternoon of Nov. 8, put his backpack down and locked the front door, only to hear the front door alarm beep a few minutes later. When he went back to check, according to police, the door was ajar. He locked the door again and also locked the deadbolt, according to police, but a few minutes later, he heard the alarm beep again and when he checked, found the deadbolt unlocked. According to police, he left for a football game at about 2:40 p.m. and, when he returned at about 6:20 p.m., he found suspicious items in his backpack.  He called his father who told him to check his bedroom closet.
