Brief Police Barricade Leads Schools to Notify Parents

But a situation in Font Hill was quickly resolved with no injuries.

A suicidal person in the Font Hill neighborhood led police to barricade streets, according to a police spokesperson, but the situation has been resolved and no one was injured. Several Howard County Public Schools sent out alerts at about 1:30 p.m. notifying parents that the schools were not on "lock-down," but that students and staff were safe at nearby schools, including Centennial High School; Burleigh Manor Middle School and Centennial Lane Elementary School. By about 2 p.m., according to police spokesperson Sherry Llewellyn, the situation had been resolved without any injuries.
