Downtown Ellicott City will host its first combined Main Street Music Festival and Fall Fest on Saturday, and Patch is helping you plan your fun and music-filled day. Although Saturday will bring more than 50 bands and a bunch of vendors to Ellicott City Fall Fest and the Main Street Music Festival, there's no way you will be able to see everything, so here are some of the must-see acts throughout the day. Jeni Porter, the event manager for the Ellicott City Business Association, recommended three of the bands playing on the outside stages throughout downtown, and organizers of the indoor entertainment said two acts are must-see. "I love all of these guys so much–they've been such huge supporters of our town," Porter told Patch. Ellicott City’s annual Fall Fest, which has included family-friendly activities, food and shopping, will have an added bonus this year. Make that 53 added bonuses. This year, Fall Fest will coincide with the first Main Street Music Fest, featuring four indoor stages, four outdoor stages and 53 unsigned bands. “We wanted it to be like a South by Southwest [sxsw] music event in town,” Jeni Porter, owner of Wind River Inc. said, referring to one of the largest music festivals in the country held annually in Austin, TX.
