Face-painting, Fun and Food at the Fall Festival -- Fantastic!

Each year, the Ellicott City Fall Festival is held - rain or shine. This year, there was shine aplenty.

All the exciting ingredients were there -- face-painting, crafts, pumpkin-decorating and live music. Perhaps the only thing that could top it was taking it all in while wearing a stylish vintage hat. Veterans know this description can only be of one event this time of year -- the Fall Festival in Historic Ellicott City. This year, organizers basked Saturday in rare warmth and sunshine, a stark contrast from the nearly inch of rain that poured on the event last year. "This is the best weather we've had," said Len Berkowitz, who co-owns Great Panes Art Glass Studio, a decorative glass design store, with his wife Sherry Fackler-Berkowitz, a festival coordinator.
