Police Arrest Ellicott City Man in 2 Local Burglaries
Both burglaries occurred less than 7 miles from the home of the accused burglar.
An Ellicott City man was arrested after police say he left one attempted burglary after being caught by the homeowners only to get caught attempting to burglarize another house. According to police, on Feb. 21 at about 5:15 p.m. the man rang the bell at a home on the 3200 block of St. John’s Lane. When no one answered, he walked to the back of the house and used a crow bar to pry open a back window. The homeowners were in the house, police said, and the suspect left immediately.
