Howard High varsity football wins a thriller; Centennial High girls varsity soccer squeaks by

Varsity Football Game of the Week: Howard vs. Atholton Despite being down early - and playing without head coach Bruce Strunk, who is out sick - Howard High fought its way back from a 21-7 third quarter deficit, scoring four second half touchdowns, to win the game 32-28. Even though they scored early in the first quarter on a one-yard quarterback sneak by Ryan Wade, Howard quickly lost the momentum.  Atholton responded with 14 unanswered points in the second quarter with two touchdowns passes from Brian McMahon – the first to Adam D'Amico and the next to Dequan Ellison. But the Lions would turn things around in the second half after giving up a 75-yard touchdown run to Atholton's Andrew King on the first play of the third quarter.  The …
