Flood Watch Issued for Howard County

What to expect from the weather this weekend in Howard County.


The deep freeze is behind us, but rain may dampen this weekend's mild temperatures in Howard County.

The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for Howard County until midnight on Saturday. 

The weather service is predicting about 1 to 2 inches of rainfall on Saturday including thunderstorms between noon and 2 p.m. The high is expected to reach 60 degrees.

On Saturday night more showers are predicted before 9 p.m. as temperatures drop to around 39 degrees.

Sunday is looking nice though. The weather service is calling for a sunny day with a high near 50. At night, the temperature is expected to drop to a low of 36.

A mild day is expected to greet the workweek with sunny skies and a high of 52 predicted for Monday.
