Balmy Wether to Shift to Rain, Possibly Snow Over the Weekend

Here's the weather forecast for this weekend.

Thursday started off balmy, like a summer evening in the middle of December, but don't expect the 60 degree temperatures to stick around into the weekend.

Even worse, it looks like we'll be stuck with rain and possibly snow.

The National Weather Service is predicting a high of 51 on Friday with showers rolling in around 10 a.m. and continuing into the evening. The rain could impact Midnight Madness, an annual tradition on Ellicott City's Main Street during which businesses are open until midnight for holiday shopping. The low on Friday is expected to be in the mid-30s.

Temperatures remain cool on Saturday with a high expected in the low 40s on a mostly sunny day with a 10 to 14 mph wind. Nighttime temps are expected to fall to around 28 degrees.

Sunday we'll see the opposite of Thursday. The National Weather Service is predicting freezing rain and sleet throughout the day and into the night with temperatures hovering in the low 30s. The weather could impact the Baltimore Ravens 1 p.m. game against the Minnesota Vikings at M&T Bank Stadium.
