Watch: The 2012 Columbia Fireworks Finale

What did you think of the fireworks show put on by Howard County at the Columbia Lakefront?

Despite , the 4th of July fireworks show at the Columbia Lakefront took place without a hitch.

The finale, as seen in the video above, was coordinated to Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. YouTube user stepwise69 shot the video from a nice spot at the Lakefront and uploaded it on Thursday.

In the video, you can hear the fireworks going off in place of the cannon sounds that are typically used for the 1812 Overture and the loud screams of the crowd as the finale comes to an end.

The Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks estimated between 20,000 and 25,000 people attended the 4th of July festivities at the Lakefront. The total cost of the event to the county was $41,150, which included the fireworks, children's entertainment, band and port-a-johns, according to Phil Bryan, superintendent of recreation for HCDRP.
