A visit to the United States Botanical Garden in Washington, DC. Located near the US Capitol (with a good view of the lit Capitol tree), the gardens are decorated for the holidays with beautiful arrangements and a charming miniature train display that will delight both young and old alike. After your visit, re-board the motor coach and make your way to the Ellipse, the grassy area south of the White House. View the National Christmas Tree and the Pageant of Peace. The Pathway of Peace has smaller decorated trees representing all 50 states. A lot of walking involved on uneven terrain, wear practical footwear. You may bring a meal on the bus.
