Rockburn Park Guided Bike Rides - Aug 14

Come join in for a fun time of group rides through the Rockburn and Patapsco trail system.  On Sunday, August 14th, guided mountain bike rides will begin at 12 noon for the advanced riders with a ride led by world champion mountain biker Chris Eatough!!  This ride will last 2 - 3 hrs.  At 1 pm, rides will begin for Ladies Ride, Intro to Rockburn/Patapsco, Casual Intermediate (~2 hr ride), and the Bike Rodeo.  At 2 pm the Family, Beginner & Kids ride (~1 hr with ability to end part way through).  All rides will have a sweep promising nobody will be left behind!!

The rides will start and end at the Rockburn West Pavilion off of the Montgomery Rd entrance.  The rides will end at the location of the Family Fundraising Picnic BBQ being hosted by the Mid-Atlantic Off Road Enthusiasts (MORE).  In conjuction with the Howard County Rec & Parks, MORE is working to raise money to build an extension to the trail system in the park.  The multi-use trail system is being built with trail runners and mountain bikers in mind.  It will have multiple trails of varying complexities and will be called The Rockburn Skills Park.  Come join the picnic to help raise money for a great park.  There will be food, drinks, 5K in raffle prizes, music, face painting, snow cones, vendor tents, t-shirt sales, and more.
