Rockburn Park Family Picnic/BBQ Fundraiser

Come spend a fun day at Rockburn Park with the family!  The Mid Atlantic Off-Road Enthusiasts (MORE), is hosting a picnic fundraiser to raise money for new multi-purpose trail extensions in Rockburn Park which will be called the Rockburn Skills Park. Food and drinks will be served, plus there will be activities like a raffle, guided mountain bike tours, kids’ bike rodeo, music, face painting, snow cones, vendor tents, t-shirt sales, and more. Everyone is welcome! Admission is Free.  Tickets can be purchased for food and drinks, and raffle tickets.

 

Raffle tickets for over $5,000 in prizes are available to purchase in advance of the picnic and are going fast. To purchase a ticket, email Rockburn@more-mtb.org. Raffle tickets are $25 and only 300 will be sold!  Prizes include a Trip for 2 to Moab, Utah (~$2,700 value) from Bike Doctor Linthicum, Trek X-Caliber bike (~#1,600 value) from Race Pace Cycles and a Giant Brass Bike (~$600 value) from Family Bike Shop.   Winner will be drawn at the Picnic at 5 pm.

12 p.m.: Guided mountain bike rides and an advanced ride (2- to 3-hour ride) led by world champion mountain biker Chris Eatough!

1 p.m.: Intermediate (less than 2 hour ride) and beginner and kids ride (less than 1 hour ride and a chance to stop part of the way through), plus a kids rodeo!

2 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Food and events (music, snow cones, face painting, vendors, raffles and more!)

 

Attendance for the rides and picnic is free. Food/drink will run anywhere from $1 to $5.  New information about the park construction plans will be shared at the picnic.
