All Howard County public schools are closed today. All evening school- and community-sponsored activities at schools are canceled as are sports practices and games.
The National Weather Service has called off its winter storm warning, and temperatures are creeping up to the mid 30s. But we're not out of the woods yet. NWS says there's a 60 percent chance of rain and snow showers late tonight and early Wednesday morning.
Temperatures are expected to drop to just below freezing, bottoming out at 31 degrees.
