School Notes: September 12

The Veterans Elementary Back-to-School Ice Cream Social needs your help! Calling all hands on deck (or the ice cream, in this case!) This Friday, Sept. 16 will mark our 5th Annual Ice Cream Social and we need almost 100 volunteers to make it a success! The event will be from 6 to 8 p.m. in the cafetorium and the blacktop, rain or shine! Bring your family! It's FREE! Please click on this link to volunteer just a half hour or an hour of your time.

Mr. Hall & Mr. Beall will be available on Monday evening, Sept. 12, to present information and answer parent questions about Northfield Elementary School's strings and band programs. Parents can come either to the Ensemble Room or Band Room from 6:30 - 7:15 p.m. for Beginning Strings  &  Beginning Band  or 7:30 - 8:15 p.m. for Advanced Strings & Advanced Band. The session is for parents only, and it is optional.  

Due to a scheduling conflict with Bonnie Branch Middle School, Back-to-School Night, the IES GT Parent Orientation has been rescheduled for Monday, Sept. 26 from 7 - 8 p.m. in the IES cafeteria.

Interested in joining Girl Scouts? Troupes are now being formed for the 2011-2012 school year. All girls in grades K through 12 are welcome to join. Adult volunteers are also needed, as new troupes cannot be formed unless we have adults to lead them!
