The school year has just started, but the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) is asking parents to start looking ahead to the 2013–14 school year attendance areas.
HCPSS will present its redistricting plan on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 7:30 p.m. and will hold public hearings Tuesday, Oct. 23, and Thursday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m.
Hearings will be broadcast live online at hcpsstv.com and on cable channels 42 (Verizon) and 95 (Comcast).
All meetings will be held in the Board of Education boardroom at the .
The with the release of a feasibility study, a report that projected enrollments for the 2012-14 school year.
After the public hearings, HCPSS will hold four work sessions: Oct. 30, Nov. 7, Nov. 8 and Nov. 13; all will be at 7:30 p.m.
A final redistricting plan will be presented on Nov. 15.
