Howard County Public Schools Graduation Dates Announced

The Howard County Public School System has announced its commencement schedule - a little later than usual.

"Many parents have asked why the graduation schedule announcement was delayed this year," spokesperson Rebecca Amani-Dove wrote in a statement. 

Merriweather Post Pavilion, where all commencement ceremonies will be taking place, has provided  use of its facility for more than two decades, Amani-Dove wrote. As part of an agreement, Merriweather can schedule concerts into early June until April 15.

"In prior years, the facility has often been able to provide the graduation schedule before that date, but could not do so this year," Amani-Dove wrote. 

Each ceremony will be broadcast on HCPSS TV and on the HCPSS TV website within hours of the event and throughout the following days. A broadcast schedule can be found on hcpss.org.

Videos of particular ceremonies are available for $20 per DVD. Check should be made payable to Ronnie Bohn, HCPSS, 10910 Clarksville Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21042. Please include the following information: Quantity requested; graduation (school) requested; name, mailing address, phone, and email address.
