Howard County Fields Closed, Practices and Games Postponed
Buildings will be open, but flooded fields are closed for the weekend.
From the Howard County Public School System:
All HCPSS playing fields are closed, for both school and community activities, through Sunday, September 11, due to the heavy rains. HCPSS buildings will be open for both school and community activities this weekend. All outdoor interscholastic athletics games and practices on fields including varsity football are postponed.
Varsity football games will be played on Monday, September 12, 2011. A special thanks to Howard County Recreation and Parks for arranging the following use of fields:
- Oakland Mills & Wilde Lake @ 2:30 PM, Cedar Lane Park Field #5
- River Hill & Long Reach @ 2:30 PM, Cedar Lane Park Field #6
- Howard & Atholton @ 2:30 PM, Rockburn Park Field #5
- Hammond & Mt. Hebron @ 2:30 PM, Rockburn Park Field #6
- Marriotts Ridge & Reservoir @ 2:30 PM, Western Regional Field #4
- Glenelg & Centennial @ 5:30 PM, Western Regional Field #4
