HoCo Superintendent Skydives onto Athletic Field

'Your road to success will ... take you out of your comfort zone." —Superintendent Renee Foose

Howard County Public Schools Superintendent Renee Foose literally had students raising their sights.

Foose jumped from a plane to the Atholton High School 50-yard line Thursday.

"I had a lot of second thoughts but once you get in the plane there’s no coming back except one way, and that’s out the door," Foose told ABC 2 News.

She said she was nervous before taking the jump but gave a thumbs-up on the way down, traveling at 120 mph, according to Fox DC.

"Sometimes your road to success will involve calculated risks and take you out of your comfort zone," Foose said.
