Friday is the last day you can vote for a Silver Spring girl’s artwork in the finals of the Doodle 4 Google competition.

Shashi Arnold of Silver Spring, a fifth-grader at East Silver Spring Elementary School, is the Maryland winner in the search engine contest, reports WJLA TV. The winning entry will be displayed on the Google homepage and win the student and school thousands of dollars.

This year's theme is: If I Could Invent One Thing to Make the World a Better Place... Shashi’s drawing is titled “Imagination Transportation.”

She writes about the picture: "So many times I sit down in a cardboard box and fly. You must admit, it would be pretty cool if our transportation was fueled by imagination, because pollution wouldn't be so bad. Plus, everyone could use a little imagination in their lives."

The winner's doodle will appear on the Google.com homepage and the student will receive a $30,000 scholarship and a $50,000 Google for Education technology grant for his or her school.
