Delegation from Thailand Coming to Ellicott City

A group of Thai educators wants to learn from Howard County.

Ellicott City students will have foreign visitors Tuesday and Wednesday, according to a statement from the Howard County Public School System.

Nine members of the Ministry of Education for Thailand will drop by Howard High School and Ellicott Mills Middle School Oct. 3.

The group is conducting a study of the school system's art and social studies programs as part of a tour through Maryland, according to a statement from the Howard County Public School System.

Program coordinators for the Maryland State Department of Education welcomed the delegation Monday, Oct. 1.

On Tuesday, members of the delegation will exchange gifts and presentations with Howard County Public School System administrators, including Superintendent Renee Foose; then they will travel to Towson University for a luncheon with Nancy Grasmick, former Maryland State Superintendent of Schools.

The delegation returns to Howard County on Wednesday when they visit Howard High School and Ellicott Mills Middle School.
