Authorities to Educate Parents, Students on Ocean City Dangers for Senior Week
Parents will learn what free activities are available for students when visiting Ocean City.
With Senior Week approaching for high school students, HC DrugFree, the Ocean City Police Department and the Ocean City Beach Patrol are looking to educate those that will be visiting on what to expect if any illegal activity takes place.
The organizations will also inform parents and students on how to enjoy free activities during their stay in Ocean City, as well as how the police force will handle alcohol-related crimes and parties.
This information will be distributed at Mt. Hebron High School on April 8 at 7 p.m.

There have been safety concerns in Ocean City in the past related to excessive drinking. According to a Washington Post article, a woman was raped in 2008 after being kicked out of a nightclub for being considered too drunk. In addition, a New Jersey man dove off a deck and later died in 1990.
