Legislative Look Back

A look at the latest actions of the Howard County Council.

The Howard County Council is in recess for the month of August after that would have given nonprofit swim clubs a property-tax credit. 

The council also voted unanimously last week to:

  • Approve the first phase of a at the site of the current Hilltop Housing complex. Hilltop -- a 91 unit, county-owned, subsidized housing complex off of Ellicott Mills Drive -- will be demolished and replaced with 198-unit, mixed-income development. CR123-2011
  • Approve provisions in a collective bargaining agreement between Howard County and the International Association of Firefighters – Howard County Local 2000. CB42-2011
  • Approve provisions in a collective bargaining agreement between Howard County and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, Howard County Local 3080, Council 67, AFL-CIO. CB43-2011
  • Approve provisions in a collective bargaining agreement between Howard County and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, Howard County Local 3085, Council 67, AFL-CIO. CB44-2011 Amendment 1
