Labor Day 2012 Closings in Howard County
Only a few county operations will remain open on the Monday holiday.
Labor Day is this Monday, Sept. 3, and several operations in Howard County will be closed for the holiday, according to a press release from the county.
As always, the 9-1-1 center, police and fire departments will remain open, as well as the Roger Carter Recreation Center, Howard County Parks and the Howard Transit and Connect-A-Ride, which will be operating on a Sunday schedule.
All parking regulations and fees will remain in effect on the holiday.
The following county operations will be closed on Monday, Sept. 3, and resume regular business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 4.:
- Howard County
- Animal Shelters
- Trash and recycling services (resumes on the holiday "slide" schedule)
- Gary J. Arthur Community Center
- North Laurel Community Center
- Robinson Nature Center
