Kittleman Resigns as GOP Leader

The senator is giving up his position as minority leader after proposing a bill to create civil unions.

Allan Kittleman is resigning as minority leader after fellow Republican senators expressed concern over his introduction of a bill that would create civil unions in Maryland.

Kittleman said the party had not asked him to leave the position, which he has held for two years, and that the decision was his alone.
