Isn't the school board race supposed to be non-partisan? Why is Bob Ballinger participating (as a candidate, not in his personal capacity) at a party campaign rally?

Same reason Siddiqui has the backing of the Howard county democratic party. Same reason Giles participated in the shameful artificial field dedication which looked like a democratic point party. Same reason it is hard for an independent to gather support Lots of endorsements with very little substance Right now the candidates with the most time directly speaking to the public are Dyer, De Lacey, Kornreich, Andrews and Ballinger in that order. If we really want to do what is best for our children we are going to have to ignore the names on the ballot and write in the best candidates

Then why is it ok when other candidates or current members pal around with the Howard County Democratic Party? Just because there are no parties next to the name on the ballot doesn't mean parties won't or shouldn't get involved.
