Cake and Flags: Flag Day at the Mall

The Mall at Columbia invited military personnel, politicians and the public to a birthday party for the Army.

To celebrate the 237th birthday of the Army, The Mall in Columbia will be hosting interactive displays today, including an Army H3 that is decorated in black and gold, the colors of the U.S. Army.

And on Friday, County Executive Ken Ulman and Fort Meade Commander Colonel Ed Rothstein celebrated with a cake-cutting ceremony that was open to the public.

“The Mall in Columbia is privileged to celebrate the continued bravery, loyalty and honor of Army Soldiers, not only in Howard County, but wherever they may serve our country,” Katie Essing, General Manager of The Mall in Columbia said in a statement.
