Two in Serious Condition After Lisbon Collision

Two people were sent to shock trauma after car hit a tree and telephone pole.

Two people were sent to Shock Trauma Wednesday night after a single-car collision in Lisbon, according to Howard County Police.

At about 10:18 last night, a teenage male was driving eastbound on Frederick Road near Bahner Court at “a high rate of speed,” according to police, when his 2011 Honda Accord drove off the road into a telephone pole. Police say the car then hit a tree and flipped over, injuring both the driver and the passenger, also a male juvenile.

Police have not released the names of the victims. Both are listed in serious condition at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

So far police say speed and the wet roads factored into the collision, which is still under investigation.
