Trials Scheduled for Daughter, Boyfriend Charged with Killing Ellicott City Blogger

The trials for the two teens charged with killing Dennis Lane will begin later this year.

The trials for the two teens charged with killing Ellicott City blogger Dennis Lane are scheduled for this fall.

Morgan Lane Arnold, Lane's daughter, is scheduled to begin her trial on Nov. 18 at Howard County Circuit Court. The trial for Jason Anthony Bulmer, Arnold's boyfriend, is scheduled for Oct. 29.

According to court documents, Arnold, 14, and Bulmer, 19, plotted for over two months to kill Lane and his fiancee Denise Geiger. Bulmer, 19, stabbed Lane to death inside Lane's Ellicott City home in the early morning hours of May 10, according to police.

Geiger was not injured in the attack. At Lane's memorial earlier this month she said Lane saved her life.

Bulmer and Arnold, both of Ellicott City, are currently being held without bond after being charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy.
