Locations at the 4800 block of Montgomery Road in Ellicott City; the 8700 block of Centre Park Drive in Columbia; and the 7900 block of Dorsey Run Road in Jessup were all targeted between 1:30 a.m. and 4:57 a.m. Sept. 1, police said.
No arrests have been made, according to police spokeswoman Sherry Llewellyn. Only cash was stolen, she said.
- In the Ellicott City location, a suspect or suspects removed a cylinder lock from the front door. Inside, they ripped out surveillance cameras and forcibly removed two cash drawers from cash registers, and took cash, police said.
- In Columbia, a suspect or suspects used a crowbar to break into Dunkin’ Donuts. They also removed security cameras from that location, but did not take anything, police said.
- At the Jessup location, the
suspect or suspects broke in by unscrewing a lock off a side door of the
building (which they replaced before leaving), according to police. They also
removed a non-operating surveillance camera from inside the shop, where they
used a pry bar to break into a locked office, police said. They took cash from
a cash drawer, according to reports.
