Suspected Ellicott City Pharmacy Robber Strikes Again: Police

A man who corralled employees in January returned to the scene of the crime, the Howard County Police Department said.

A man wanted in connection with armed robbery at the Ellicott City Pharmacy in January tried to rob the place again last week, the Howard County Police Department reported Wednesday.

At approximately 9:55 a.m. on March 24, a man entered the pharmacy in the 9300 block of Baltimore National Pike, approached the counter and demanded narcotics, police said.

When an employee said she had already activated the alarm, he left without any drugs, according to the report. Based on surveillance footage, police said he left in a dark gray minivan.

Police said they think the man is the same person who robbed the pharmacy two months ago.

According to police, at approximately 2:26 p.m. on Jan. 23, a man entered the Ellicott City Pharmacy, showed a handgun in his waistband and corralled the employees to the back of the business.

He left the store after stealing various scheduled narcotics, police said.

Nobody was injured in either incident, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white male who is about 6 feet tall, weighs 230 pounds and has blue eyes, the report stated.

In both incidents, police said the man wore a scarf over his face to conceal his identity.
