Robbery in Broad Daylight: Howard County Crime Roundup
The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Jessup: Commercial Robbery
Just before 1 p.m. on July 11, an unknown suspect ordered food at the drive through window of the McDonalds on the 7800 block of Pocomoke Avenue and stole a cash register drawer, fleeing in his vehicle.

Between July 1 and July 11, an unknown number of suspects pried open a front door of Celebration Foods, on the 8200 block of Patuxent Range Road, and stole copper wire.

Between 2 p.m. on July 10 and 9 a.m. the following morning, an unknown number of suspects cut open a fence and entered a business yard at Sanford Kramer Heating & Plumbing, on the 8100 block of Lark Brown Road. The suspects stole copper and tools.
Columbia: Robbery
Just before 3 p.m. on July 11, an unknown suspect on a bike stole an mp3 player from a jogger near the intersection of Stevens Forest Road and Camelback Lane.
Columbia: Commercial Break-In
Between July 8 and July 11, an unknown number of suspects entered Café Serendipity, on the 9100 block of Rumsey Road, damaging a front and rear door. Nothing was reported stolen.
Columbia: Break-In
On July 11, between 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m., an unknown number of suspects broke a rear sliding glass door of a residence on the 5400 block of Sleeping Dog Lane and ransacked the residence.
Laurel: Break-In
On July 11, between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m., an unknown number of suspects entered an unsecured garage at a residence on the 8300 block of Sweet Cherry Lane, and stole a GPS unit and alcohol. The GPS unit was located nearby.
Laurel: Vehicle Theft
At 10:18 p.m. on July 11, a red and black 2009 Honda CBR 600 was reported stolen from a residence on the 9100 block of Stebbing Way.
