Police Report Attempted Murder by Stabbing in Jessup

A 23-year-old man was arrested after police said he stabbed another man in the arm.

A Jessup man was arrested on a charge of attempted murder after Anne Arundel Police said he stabbed another man during a Monday morning fight. 

Police said they responded shortly after 1 a.m. Monday to the 2900 block of Jessup Road and found a 32-year-old man with stab wounds to the arm.

Officers found their suspect, a 23-year-old from Jessup, a short time later. Police said an investigation revealed that the two men knew each other and had been arguing.

Police charged the Jessup man with attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

The victim in the case took himself to Howard General Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
