Police Offer Reward For Information on Bank Robbers

Police are trying to find three men who demanded money from two banks.

Howard County Police are offering up to $1,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of three suspects involved in a bank robbery and an attempted bank robbery that occurred within about an hour of each other.

Photographs of all three suspects are attached.

In the first case, at about 9:40 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 7, a masked man entered the PNC bank at 15920 Frederick Road in Woodbine. According to police, the suspect approached the teller and demanded cash. He did not display or suggest that he had a weapon, according to police. The teller refused to hand over money and the suspect fled.

Police say the suspect is a white man, 6 ft., with an average-to-heavy build. He was wearing a black mask, a black shirt with thick, horizontal red stripes and dark jeans.

At about 10:55 a.m. the same day, police say two men entered the lobby of Wells Fargo bank at 9230 Baltimore National Pike. The men showed guns and demanded that customers get onto the floor. Police say that one of the suspect jumped over the counter, stealing money from the drawer; the other suspect stayed in the lobby.

The two then fled in a vehicle. Police say they do not know the race of the suspects; both men wore all black clothes and dark glasses. One of the two suspects had an athletic, slim build. The other had a medium build.

Police are working with the FBI. They are asking anyone with information to call 410-313-STOP. Callers may remain anonymous.
