Police Investigating "Inappropriate Touching" of Teen During Burglary

The burglar also made off with a laptop and cell phone during the incident early Saturday, according to police.


Howard County police are investigating an incident in Ellicott City during which a burglar broke into a home and touched a teenage girl inappropriately as she slept on the couch.

Police said someone broke into a home in the 8700 block of Town & Country Boulevard by cutting the screen on an open window around 5 a.m. on Sept. 21. Inside, a teenage girl was sleeping on the sofa. The burglar touched the girl inappropriately as she slept and when she woke up, the man fled, according to police. 

A laptop and cell phone were reported stolen in the incident, according to police. Police did not release a detailed description of a suspect, but said they are currently following leads.
