One Day, Three Break-ins: Crime Roundup

Howard County Police reported three break-ins on Tuesday in Ellicott City.

Sometime between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. suspects broke into a residence on the 11600 block of Fox Chase Court, according to police. The suspects entered by breaking the back French doors and ransacked a bedroom, police said. Dressers were removed and jewelry was thrown on the living room floor; police said they don't yet know if anything was stolen.  

Just after 4 p.m., police were called to the 4100 block of Font Hill Drive where the victim said he heard a noise coming from the first floor of his house. When he went to the bedroom, he said he saw someone had punched a hole in the screen and broken the glass. The victim told police the suspect ran toward Frederick Road. The suspect was a medium-complexion black man with no facial hair. He was about 5'8" wearing a black hoodie and black pants.

Later in the day, sometime between 4:20 and 6:45 p.m. police say suspects smashed a back glass door at a residence on the 4500 block of Doncaster Drive. As in the Fox Chase Court burglary, police say jewelry was removed from a bedroom dresser and scattered on the floor; it's unknown if jewelry was stolen. Police say two televisions, a laptop and an e-reader were stolen.
