Nearly A Dozen Break-ins and Indecent Exposure: Howard County Crime Roundup

The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Ellicott City: Break-In

Between 3 p.m. on Aug. 25 and 12:15 p.m. the following day, an unknown number of suspects entered a rear window of a residence on the 9000 block of Town and Country Boulevard, stealing two televisions and video games.

Between 11 p.m. on Aug. 28 and 10 a.m. the following day, an unknown number of suspects forced in the front door of Serafino’s, on the 3100 block of Plumtree Drive, stealing cash, a safe and a collectible football helmet.

Between Aug. 27 and Aug. 28, an unknown number of suspects forced open the front door of Mayer Brothers, on the 6200 block of Race Road. Police said nothing was reported stolen.

Elkridge: Commercial Break-In

Shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 26, someone observed an unknown suspect on the roof of a vacant building on the 6200 block of Washington Boulevard. The suspect jumped from the roof and officers arrested him and a female suspect. Police said the suspect was stealing copper wiring from an air-conditioning unit. Police charged the first suspect with fourth-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property and theft. Police charged the second suspect with conspiracy to commit theft.

Elkridge: Commercial Robbery

Shortly before 4 p.m. on Aug. 28, an unknown suspect approached an employee at Elkridge Liquors, on the 5800 block of Washington Boulevard, displayed a gun and demanded cash. The employee gave the suspect cash and the suspect fled on a bicycle.

Elkridge: Break-In

Between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 26, an unknown number of suspects kicked in the basement door of a residence on the 5900 block of Setter Drive, stealing a laptop, prescription medication and cash.

Columbia: Robbery

Shortly after 10 p.m. on Aug. 26, a group of unknown suspects assaulted a victim near the 7200 block of Cradlerock Way, stealing cash and then fleeing.

Columbia: Break-In

Between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Aug. 28, an unknown number of suspects entered an open garage of a residence on the 5400 block of Blue Heron Lane, stealing two bicycles.

Columbia: Indecent Exposure

Shortly after 9 a.m. on Aug. 27, an unknown suspect inside of a residence on the 5400 block of Wildwind Place exposed himself to a victim walking in the area.

Columbia: Vehicle Theft

Shortly before 8 a.m. on Aug. 26, a gold 1999 Nissan Altima with MD tags KBX535 was reported stolen from a residence on the 10800 block of Harmel Drive.

Jessup: Commercial Break-In

Shortly before 11 a.m. on Aug. 28, an unknown number of suspects broke a glass door and entered Bob’s BMW, on the 10700 block of Guilford Road, stealing leather clothing.

Cooksville: Break-In

Shortly after 11 p.m. on Aug. 26, a group of juvenile suspects entered a vacant residence on the 1700 block of Oakdale Drive and held a party. One suspect was located in the area, but police said no charges have been filed.

Savage: Vehicle Theft

Shortly before 9 a.m. on Aug. 28, a motorcycle was reported stolen from a residence on the 7700 block of Washington Boulevard.

Laurel: Break-In

Between Aug. 25 and Aug. 28, an unknown number of suspects broke into a residence on Alma Avenue, stealing a mini-fridge, DVD player, television and DVDs.

Laurel: Break-In

Between 1 p.m. and 2:38 p.m. on Aug. 26, an unknown number of suspects kicked in the front door of a residence on the 9000 block of Moonshine Hollow. Police said nothing was reported stolen.

Laurel: Break-In

Around 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 26, an unknown number of suspects kicked in the door of a residence on the 9000 block of Moonshine Hollow. Police said nothing was reported stolen.

Laurel: Commercial Break-In Attempt

Between 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 28 and 2:11 a.m. the following day, an unknown number of suspects attempted to pry open the front door of All Saints Exxon, on the 9200 block of All Saints Road, but failed to gain entry.

Laurel: Vehicle Theft

Shortly after 8 p.m. on Aug. 28, a green Acura Legend was reported stolen from a residence on the 9700 block of Washington Boulevard.
