Motorcyclist Dies on Route 100

A motorcyclist was killed on Route 100 in Ellicott City.

A motorcyclist died Wednesday night after a collision in Ellicott City, according to officials. 

According to Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services Battalion Chief Joe Dixon, rescue crews were called to the westbound side of Route 100 near Route 29 for a report of a collision.

Dixon said crews found a motorcycle and its driver under a vehicle. The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Dixon. No one else was transported for injuries, he said.

Wednesday's fatal collision is the second for a Howard County motorcyclist in less than two weeks. On Sunday, May 20, 4 when his motorcycle collided with a sign post in Marriottsville.
