Two Mid-Day Break-ins in Ellicott City

Howard County Police are reporting two, possibly three, midday break-ins in Ellicott City in the past few weeks.

On May 31, police say an unknown number of suspects kicked in a back door at a house on the 4000 block of St. John's Lane and stole televisions and a laptop computer. The break-in occurred sometime between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m.

Then, on June 9 between 9:45 a.m. and 2:24 p.m., police say an unknown number of suspects smashed a back patio door at a house on the 2600 block of McKenzie Road and stole a television, DVD player and a laptop computer.

On June 11, an unknown number of suspects entered a ground-floor apartment through an unlocked window sometime between 1 a.m. and 10:45 p.m. and stole laptop computers, according to police.

Also, on June 8, police say two men wearing gloves and dark clothes broke into just before 3 a.m.; nothing appeared to be stolen.
