Indecent Exposure and Third School Incident: Howard County Crime Roundup

The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Columbia: Break-In

Between 7:30 p.m. on August 7 and 9 a.m. the following day, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 6300 block of Tamar Drive and stole jewelry and a laptop.

Between 12:01 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on August 8, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 6100 block of Majors Lane and stole a purse, used keys to unlock a vehicle and stole cash.

Between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on August 5, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 10700 block of Hickory Ridge Lane and stole a video game system, mp3 player, video games and CDs. This incident is listed as “Late Reported.”

Columbia: Break-In

Between August 4 and August 8, an unknown number of suspects broke a side window and entered a residence on the 6000 block of Majors Lane, stealing purses and a video game system.

Columbia: Commercial Break-In Attempt

Shortly after 8:30 p.m. on August 8, an unknown number of suspects attempted to enter a business on the 5600 block of Sheerock Court by tampering with the door, but failed to gain entry.

Columbia: Vehicle Theft

Between 6 p.m. on August 7 and 9:55 a.m. the following day, a black 2009 Suzuki DRZ400 with Maryland tags D68871 was reported stolen from a residence on the 6000 block of Majors Lane.

Marriottsville: Commercial Break-In

Between August 6 and August 8, an unknown number of suspects cut a chain from the gate of the Howard County Landfill, on the 2300 block of Marriottsville Road, stealing batteries.

Laurel: School Break-In

Between August 6 and August 8, an unknown number of suspects broke a window and entered a portable classroom at Laurel Woods Elementary, on the 9500 block of Laurel Road, stealing a speaker. Police said the speaker was recovered nearby.

Highland: Break-In

Between 5 a.m. and 4 p.m. on August 8, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 13100 block of Highland Road and stole a television, laptop and bicycle.

Highland: Indecent Exposure

At 3:20 p.m. on August 8, an unknown suspect was observed naked in the parking lot of Schooley Mill Park, on the 12900 block of Hall Shop Road.
