Illegal Partying in Ellicott City: Howard County Crime Roundup

The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Ellicott City: Break-In

At 3 a.m. on March 11, police discovered a vacant residence on the 5200 block of Ilchester Road had been used for "partying."

Elkridge: Break-In

Shortly after 11 p.m. on March 11, a witness reported that a known suspect was attempting to enter her residence on the 6500 block of Baja Way without permission. Officers arrested the suspect, a man from Gwynn Oak, and charged him with burglary and assault.

Columbia: Commercial break-In

Shortly before 3 a.m. on March 12, two suspects broke the front glass of REI, on the 6100 block of Dobbin Road, and stole jackets. Police said the suspects fled in a silver sedan.

Columbia: Break-In

Between 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on March 9, an unknown number of suspects entered the front window of a residence on the 9500 block of Standon Place and stole shoes.

Columbia: Break-In

At 10:30 a.m. on March 9, a suspect broke a front glass door of a residence on the 5100 block of Herbert Drive. Arriving officers located and arrested the suspect and charged him with first-, third-, and fourth-degree burglary and destruction of property.

Columbia: Break-In

Between 7:30 p.m. on March 8 and 9 a.m. on March 9, an unknown number of suspects smashed the rear doors of a residence on the 8300 block of Painted Rock Road, and stole coins.

Columbia: Break-In

Shortly after 12 a.m. on March 10, suspects unwelcome to a party at a residence on the 6300 block of Early Red Court assaulted several people and fled. Police said an investigation into the incident is continuing.

Columbia: Break-In

Shortly before 7 a.m. on March 10, a known suspect entered a residence on the 12200 block of Green Meadow Drive and assaulted a victim. Officers arrested the suspect, an Ellicott City man, and charged him with burglary and assault.

Jessup: Robbery

Shortly before 9 p.m. on March 10, two suspects approached a pizza delivery driver on the 8300 block of Washington Boulevard, displayed a knife and demanded cash and car keys. The driver complied and the suspects fled on foot.

Laurel: Break-In

Between 5 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. on March 10, an unknown number of suspects opened the garage door and entered a new home on the 9300 block of Rock RIpple Lane. Police said nothing was reported stolen.

North Laurel: Vehicle Theft

Shortly before 12:30 p.m. on March 9, a burgundy 1998 Toyota was reported stolen from CarMax, on the 8800 block of Freestate Drive.

North Laurel: Vehicle Theft

Shortly after 8 p.m. on March 11, a black Hyundai Sonata was reported stolen from a residence on the 9600 block of Barrel House Road.
