The crash shut down Interstate 95 south for more than half an hour.

One person was taken to shock trauma after a crash on Interstate 95 south in Howard County Thursday, officials said.

The two-vehicle collision happened just prior to MD Route 100 and was reported at 11:19 a.m., according to the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team.

A motorcycle and truck collided on I-95, the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services reported.

An ambulance took one person to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with injuries, the department said.

As first responders cleared the scene, all lanes were shut down on I-95 south for more than half an hour.

Two lanes reopened after 12:05 p.m. and at approximately 12:23 p.m., all lanes were open.

Traffic on I-95 north had also jammed around lunchtime in the area of Route 100 as a result of the crash.
