Honoring Victims of 9/11 at Garden of Hope

The public is invited to join municipal officials for a remembrance ceremony.

Howard County officials have invited the public to gather Saturday, Sept. 11, to honor the memories of those who died in the terror attacks of 2001.

County Executive Ken Ulman, Police Chief William McMahon, Fire Chief William Goddard and other officials will pay tribute to the nearly 3,000 people who died during the terrorist attacks at the Pentagon, World Trade Center and on United Airlines flight 93, which crashed in Shanksville, PA.

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 8:46 a.m., the time that American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the World Trade Center's North Tower.
