Home Invasion in Ellicott City: Howard County Crime Roundup

The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Ellicott City: Break-In

Between 11:20 a.m and 2:10 p.m. on Jan. 27, an unknown number of suspects kicked open the front door and entered a residence on the 2500 block of Dairy Valley Trail, ransacking bedrooms and stealing money.

Ellicott City: Commercial Break-In

Shortly after 5 a.m. on Jan. 30, an unknown number of suspects broke a window and entered the Home Depot on the 9100 block of Baltimore National Pike.

Elkridge: Robbery

Shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Jan. 30, a known suspect assaulted a victim near the 6200 block of Washington Boulevard and stole the victim's purse.

Elkridge: Commercial Break-In

Shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 29, an unknown suspect threw a brick threw a window and entered Jessup Deli, on the 7800 block of Washington Boulevard, and stole cash.

Sykesville: Commercial Break-In

Shortly after 1 a.m. on Jan. 28, an unknown number of suspects entered the basement window of Saint Luke United Methodist Church, on the 300 block of River Road. Police said nothing was reported stolen.

North Laurel: Break-In

Between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 27, an unknown number of suspects broke a front window to reach in and enter a residence on the 10600 block of Gorman Road, ransacking the office and stealing jewelry.

Columbia: Break-In

Between 9 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. on Jan. 29, an unknown number of suspects forced entry into the front door of a residence on the 9300 block of Reader Lane. Police said nothing was reported stolen.

Jessup: Break-In Attempt

Shortly after 12 a.m. on Jan. 30, police arrested a suspect attempting to enter a residence on the 8100 block of Aspenwood Way.  HCPD said the suspect was wanted for fourth-degree burglary by police in Montgomery County.

Columbia: Vehicle Theft

Shortly after 3 p.m. on Jan. 27, a 16-foot flatbed trailer with MD tags 932977G was stolen from the 8900 block of McGaw Court.

Columbia: Vehicle Theft

Shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 28, a silver 2002 Pontiac Grand Am was stolen from a residence on the 10400 block of Owen Brown Road.
