Group at Gas Station Robs Bicycle in Ellicott City: Howard County Crime Reports

Group robs bike at Crown Gas Station

A group of four people robbed a bike from a male victim in the parking lot of the Crown Gas Station in the 8400 block of Baltimore National Pike on Dec. 11 around 2:40 p.m. Police said the four people verbally harassed and threatened the victim before shoving him off his bicycle and taking it towards Normandy Woods Apartments.

Alarm possibly scares off Subway burglar

Someone smashed the front glass of the Subway in the 9200 block of Baltimore National Pike on Dec. 10 around 1:30 a.m., causing the alarm to go off. Nothing was reported stolen.

Laptops taken in catburglary

A resident was sleeping while two laptops were stolen from a ground floor apartment in the 9000 block of Town and Country Blvd. overnight on Dec. 8 - 9. Police said someone may have entered through a rear sliding door.

Man robs woman after inviting her to a party

A man pointed a handgun at a woman and robbed her purse and cell phone after he invited her to a party in the 7300 block of Kerry Hill Court around 10 p.m. on Dec. 13. The woman told police the man fled in the direction of the Owen Brown Village Center. Police did not provide a suspect description.

Boy exposes himself to girl

A boy was with a group of four or five other boys when he exposed himself to a girl who was walking home around 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 12 in the 6000 block of Stevens Forest Road. Police are following up on suspects.

Burglar climbs through bedroom window

Someone entered an apartment in the 11900 block of Little Patuxent Parkway by forcing open a bedroom window between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Dec. 12 and then stole electronics, cash, shoes, a watch and a backpack with business checks.

Tie tack and documents taken

A tie tack—a short pin with a decorative head used to attach a tie to a shirt—was stolen from a residence in the 5400 block of Columbia Road along with electronics, cash and personal documents on Dec. 12. Police reported someone entered the ground floor apartment after breaking the living room window.

Fishing rod and tools taken from garage

Someone entered a garage in the 5700 block of Paradise Ave. through a garage window and stole a fishing rod and tools between Dec. 3 and Dec. 10. Police said they're following up on suspects.

Pry marks found on door of tech corp.

Police found pry marks on the front door of Science Technology Corporation in the 10000 block of Old Columbia Road, but no entry was made to the business between Dec. 6 - 10.

Copper stolen from construction site

There were no signs of forced entry, but copper was taken from a construction trailer at Summit Electric in the 6700 block of Green Mill Way sometime between Dec. 12 and Dec. 13.

Resident finds items missing from home

A resident discovered jewelry and cash missing from a home in the 8600 block of Cobblefield Drive. Police did not locate any signs of forced entry.

Dunkin's pipes stolen

Someone pried open the steel basement doors to Dunkin' Donuts in the 6300 block of Washington Blvd. and removed copper piping overnight on Dec. 10 - 11.

Three TVs stolen

Police did not locate any signs of forced entry, but three TVs were reported stolen from a residence in the 6000 block of Blue Point Court overnight on Dec. 10 - 11.

Compound bow stolen

Someone shattered the glass of the rear sliding door at a residence in the 15600 block of Union Chapel Road and stole a compound bow, a change jar and electronics during the day on Dec. 13.

North Laurel


Gold ring taken

A gold ring and electronics were reported stolen from an apartment in the 9600 block of Barrel House Road after someone broke the front window to gain entry during the day on Dec. 12.

Hanover


Storage trailer burglarized

Three generators, a saw and valve fittings were stolen from Hiltz Propane Systems in the 8100 block of Dorsey Road after someone forced open a rear door to a storage trailer between Dec. 7 and Dec. 9.

Countywide Vehicle Thefts

A black Mercedes C230 was reported stolen in the 9500 block of Sylvan Still Road around 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 14.
